My First Blog: Mustang Cobra Mystichrome 2004

This is my first Blog posting and I'm testing the potential of a Blog post.

I'm from Canada and my passion is for cars and more specificaly Ford Mustangs.

I bought a brand new Mustang Cobra 2004 last year and I want to present it to you.

Here is my MystiCobra:

For the last year of production of this model (The Terminator 2003-04) before introduction of the new Ford Mustang 2005, Ford have made, through there SVT (Special Vehicle Team) branch, only 1010 units of this color package. In 1996, Ford had made a similar color shifting run when the model was again changed.

The mysticobra paint color used the color shifting technology. It changes color, depending on the angle of light and can go from blue to purple to green.

Here is a picture showing some of the colors:

The above 2 pictures were taken a few minutes apart, when the sun was seting and at a slightly different angle.

If you have a link or pictures of your Mystichrome Cobra 2004 or 1996, you can post them here.

Thanks!

Those are not different cars. They are all the same car under different light angles. This is why the paint is called ''colour changing''. The colours do not realy change but your see it differently because of the separation of light through the paint that reflects only part of the light depending on the angle. In simple terms, it is similar to a rainbow: The sunlight is divided into its components when going through water droplets.
